A state trooper in Vermont was hospitalized with minor injuries after a vehicle collision in Bennington on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. at the Kocker Drive intersection on Route 7.

Sgt. Justin Walker, a member of the Shaftsbury barracks, was responding to an earlier accident on Route 279 with both lights and sirens activated when the incident transpired. He received treatment at the hospital before being discharged later on. Individuals in the other vehicle involved in the crash were reported to be unharmed.

The matter is currently under investigation by the Bennington Police.
