An employee of the U.S. Postal Service from North Troy is facing serious allegations after numerous complaints arose regarding undelivered mail. Natasha Morisseau, aged 34, has been charged with nine instances of petty larceny along with five counts of unlawful mischief.

Authorities observed both opened and sealed packages from as far back as October discarded in a dumpster, in addition to various holiday cards located in Morisseau’s postal delivery vehicle. Local residents had previously reported issues in February, noting that they experienced delays in mail delivery and received packages that had been tampered with or were missing altogether. This prompted an investigation by law enforcement.

Since the end of January, Morisseau has been on suspension as the U.S. Postal Service initiated its own probe into the situation. Subsequently, the police have forwarded the case to the U.S. Inspector General’s Office for further evaluation.
