
The crew of the USS Vermont is in the Green Mountain State this week for special engagements. Following a port stop in Perth, Australia, where they collaborated with the Royal Australian Navy on various initiatives, the submarine crew has returned to their home state.
State legislators are honoring the USS Vermont’s contributions with a resolution acknowledging its service. The commander expressed appreciation for the opportunity to reconnect with the state, emphasizing their pride in representing Vermont, even when stationed far from home like in Pearl Harbor.
On Wednesday, the crew interacted with Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadets at Norwich University, fostering connections between the military and youth interested in service.
