In the early hours of Sunday, an apartment fire in West Lebanon prompted a swift response from local firefighters. The Lebanon Fire Department received an alert at 6:56 a.m. regarding smoke in The Village at Crafts Hill Apartments. Upon arrival shortly after 7 a.m., crews encountered substantial smoke emanating from the main entry of the building, along with flames in one of the ground-floor units.
During their firefighting efforts, responders discovered an individual in distress, who was subsequently taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center due to smoke inhalation concerns. By 8 a.m., the blaze was reported to be under control. Fortunately, three cats were located safely, and no additional residents were affected by the incident. Remarkably, all firefighters involved in the response emerged without injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are currently being conducted by both the Lebanon Fire Department and the Lebanon Police Department.
