Authorities in Fairfax, Vermont are currently looking into a shooting incident that occurred early in the morning, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized.

A man was taken into custody at the location of the shooting, and law enforcement has indicated that this event appears to be isolated, with a pre-existing relationship among those involved. No further information from the police has been released at this time.

The police were alerted to the situation via a 911 call at approximately 1:20 a.m., directing officials to 2 Fletcher Road, where the incident took place. A man and a woman were the victims of this attack; they were initially taken to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans before being transferred for additional care to the UVM Medical Center.
