Emergency responders were alerted to a fire at a residential property on Jenne Road in East Dover shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday morning. Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered a significant amount of smoke emanating from the structure.

The team effectively brought the blaze under control and ensured it did not extend to the adjacent veterinary clinic located within the same building. Although the fire was classified at the first-alarm level, additional support was requested from the Brattleboro Fire Department to provide more personnel for tackling any remaining hotspots inside.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among people or animals associated with the Goose City Veterinary Clinic. The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
