The Vermont National Guard will witness a shift in leadership on Saturday as Major General Greg Knight steps down from his position as adjutant general, passing the role to Brigadier General Henry Harder. Harder, who has dedicated approximately 35 years to the Air National Guard, was elected by Vermont lawmakers last month for this pivotal role. Over the past seven years, Knight has held the position of adjutant general.

The event will begin at 2 p.m. at the hangar of the 158th Fighter Wing in South Burlington, where Governor Phil Scott and various members of the Guard will be present to facilitate the leadership transition.
