New Doorbell Footage Shows Masked Figure Linked to Nancy Guthrie Disappearance

Investigators have released the first video and images of a potential person of interest in the abduction of Nancy Guthrie from her Arizona home more than a week ago.

The photos appear to have been captured by a Nest doorbell camera at Nancy’s front entrance. In the footage, the individual is seen wearing a ski mask and gloves, carrying a backpack, and appearing to have a holstered gun positioned at the front of the belt. In one image, the person seems to have a flashlight held in their mouth. Authorities believe the individual may be tampering with the camera on the morning Nancy disappeared, according to FBI Director Kash Patel.

The release of the images comes shortly after the final deadline to pay an alleged ransom passed yesterday at 5:00 p.m. local time in Tucson.

The photos also appear to show distinct facial features, including dark, wiry eyebrows and prominent facial hair—most noticeably a mustache, with what looks like hair both above and below the lips. It’s unclear whether this is a goatee or a fuller beard.

Nancy, 84, is the mother of TODAY anchor Savannah Guthrie. She was taken against her will early in the morning on February 1. Savannah and her family have been searching relentlessly ever since, working with police and sharing public pleas for help, saying they believe Nancy is still alive.

In a video shared yesterday, Savannah urged anyone with information to come forward, saying, “No matter where you are, even if you’re far from Tucson … we are in an hour of desperation, and we need your help.”

Nancy has a pacemaker and requires daily medication, and it’s not known whether she has access to her prescriptions.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit a tip at http://tips.fbi.gov.
