A school bus accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Newbury, involving a total of 21 students. The incident unfolded at approximately 3:18 p.m. on Perini Road, as reported by officials from the Vermont DMV. The bus, operated by 72-year-old driver Cynthia Clemence, veered into a ditch on its side before partially flipping over.

Fortunately, none of the students on board sustained injuries, though one paraprofessional did report experiencing minor injuries. Investigators indicated that the driver may have been navigating too closely to the roadside. Additionally, they confirmed that there were no mechanical issues with the vehicle, which is owned by Butler’s Bus Service.
