A report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that New Hampshire has achieved the 10th highest average life expectancy in the United States, which stands at slightly below 79 years. Hawaii leads the rankings with an average life expectancy of 80 years, closely followed by Massachusetts at 79.8 years.

The state experienced a modest increase in life expectancy of several months between 2021 and 2022. Additionally, for residents aged 65, New Hampshire ranks 14th nationwide regarding the life expectancy that remains for this age group.
