An incident involving gunfire occurred in Jaffrey on Wednesday evening, prompting an investigation. Officers received reports of shots fired around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Cross Street and Nutting Road.

According to investigators, a vehicle dispatched bullets as it traversed the area, with one projectile striking an empty apartment within the building. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries linked to the incident.

Authorities indicated that they suspect the shooting was aimed at a specific target rather than being random.
